You have the option to use your Wiscard as a PIN-based debit card with a UW Credit Union checking account. Use your card at any ATM or businesses that accept PIN-based debit transactions, and the funds will automatically be deducted from your checking account.

How it Works
If you’re not already a UW Credit Union member, bring your Wiscard to any UW Credit Union branch and open a checking account. Your Wiscard will be linked to your checking account with a PIN selected by you. Your Wiscard will be immediately functional at any ATM or business that accepts PIN-based debit transactions. All ATM or PIN-based debit transactions will be deducted from your UW Credit Union checking account, which is managed separately from Housing Food, Campus Cash and Union Meal accounts.
If you are a UW Credit Union member, you can link your Wiscard to your existing checking account at any of our branch locations.
Benefits
• It’s safe. Your Wiscard will not include your financial account number on the front or back of the card. If your card is lost or stolen, it cannot be used without your PIN.
• It’s convenient. The Wiscard UW Credit Union Program combines everyday banking capabilities with your Wiscard—use at ATMs and make PIN-based debit transactions. Plus, it’s easy to manage with free online banking and Email and Text alerts.
